Firefighter Safety -
Heroes in Action
In October, firefighters from Station 3 in Meriden, CT, visit Kinder-Garden Learning Center. Our children have the chance to meet local heroes, explore firefighting equipment, and learn important fire safety tips. The firefighters demonstrate their gear, talk about their roles in the community, and teach our children how to stay safe in an emergency. This exciting and educational visit helps foster a sense of safety and appreciation for the work firefighters do to protect our community.
Meriden Public Library Bookmobile - Bringing Books to Life
The Meriden Public Library Bookmobile brings the joy of reading directly to Kinder-Garden Learning Center! With a wide selection of books for all ages, the Bookmobile allows our children to browse, explore, and enjoy stories right at our doorstep. Each visit sparks curiosity and encourages a love of reading, giving our young learners easy access to the world of books and inspiring them to dive into new adventures with every page

Dental Hygienist
Every February, Kinder-Garden Learning Center is excited to welcome a dental hygienist to help our children learn about oral health. During this interactive visit, children discover the importance of brushing, flossing, and regular dental check-ups. With engaging demonstrations and fun activities, the hygienist makes dental hygiene easy to understand and enjoyable, encouraging lifelong habits for healthy smiles.​

KGLC Community Donation Drive
At Kinder-Garden Learning Center, we are dedicated to teaching the value of generosity and community support. Throughout the year, we collect donations to help those in need, with a special focus during Thanksgiving to provide meals for local families. Our donation drive encourages families, staff, and children to contribute, helping to make a positive difference in the lives of others. This initiative fosters a spirit of kindness, compassion, and community engagement that we are proud to share with our young learners
Enriching Young Minds Through Diverse Learning Opportunities
At Kinder-Garden Learning Center, we are committed to providing developmentally appropriate practices that support each child’s growth in a holistic way. Through our carefully crafted activities, we ensure that children engage in learning experiences that are both fun and aligned with their developmental stage. Our Music & Movement sessions promote coordination and self-expression, while Spanish lessons help young learners build foundational language skills. Cooking and Art programs allow for creative exploration and skill-building in a hands-on, interactive environment. These activities are designed to enhance cognitive, social, and physical development, fostering confident, curious, and well-rounded learners who are ready to explore the world around them.
