OUR
TEACHER’S AIDES
"Robbie" Neubauer - employed since
June 9, 2008
Did we mention that we are getting old? Robbie has been involved with KGLC since it began in 1995. At the age of 3, he helped his parents renovate the building by holding tools and helping with the landscaping projects (digging holes in the yard). Now at 17 years old, he is in his senior year at Sheehan High School and will be working hard to keep the center ship-shape. Robbie was one of the original students at KGLC.
Robbie is a talented artist and has been an active member of the KGLC FAMILY for his entire life. His ability to relate and communicate with the children has made him a role model for many of the KGLC students. We hope he keeps up the good work now that we have to pay him. :)
Robbie was recently accepted to UConn in Storrs, CT and Quinnipiac Univ. in Hamden, CT. He has a big choice to make. He hopes to study medicine and become a pediatrician.
"Miss
Karen” Neubauer – employed since March 8, 2010
Karen Marie Neubauer began volunteering at Kinder-Garden Learning Center in 2008 as part of her high school graduation requirements. As the apple does not fall from the tree, we decided to hire her as a teacher’s aide on her sixteenth birthday.
She is presently attending Mark T Sheehan High School and is a member of the girl's soccer & track teams. She regularly attends continuing education seminars and plans on attending college after graduating to become a teacher. She is the middle child of Robert & Maria Neubauer and a loving sister to Robbie & Kacey. For years before she began working, she has worked diligently with her family to make KGLC the best place around for children in our community.
Miss Karen serves as a teacher's aide and works with the director on a number of special projects throughout the year. She is always willing to fill-in where needed and is already familiar with the children. The staff and parents all agree that she has knowledge beyond her years and a gift for communicating with children.
She is an active advocate for children’s rights and fights for the needs of young children. Karen should be proud of her accomplishments and know that KGLC would not be the same program without everything she does for the children and families of our community.
"Miss Gaby” Veguilla – employed since March 4, 2010
Gabriella Veguilla was born and raised in Meriden, CT and graduated from OH Platt High School in 2008. She resides in Meriden with her mom, dad, two brothers and their dog, Daisy.
She is presently attending Middlesex Community College and is majoring in education with a minor in computer science. Gaby hopes to eventually become a computer science teacher.
Miss Gaby serves as a teacher's aide and works closely with the teachers to plan and implement the educational program. She is willing to fill-in where needed and her smile brightens KGLC.
Gaby is eager to learn and utilizes what she learns in her classes every day. Our children love her easy way and calm demeanor when she speaks with them.
Gaby has a big family, so she is always babysitting her younger brothers and her cousins. In her spare time, Gaby loves to visit with friends and loves to shop.
KGLC is lucky to have her as part of OUR family and we’re sure she’ll enjoy her time with the children and families of our center.
"Miss Cassandra” Terrusa – employed since April 12, 2010
Cassandra is presently attending Mark T Sheehan High School. She regularly attends continuing education seminars and plans on attending college after graduating to become a teacher. She is the daughter of Ed & Debbie Terrusa and a loving sister to Angelina & Josephine.
